This investigation aimed to assess the potential of employing a self-reporting measure, the Picture My Participation (PmP) tool, delivered through a video communication platform (Zoom) for children with developmental disabilities (DD).
A group of 17 children with DD, whose average age was 13 years, underwent PmP treatment. PmP's pictorial representations of activities and response options were displayed through a shared PowerPoint, facilitating nonverbal responses in Zoom using the annotate feature. To evaluate the interview's effect on the child and the interviewer, questionnaires were developed and administered.
Every child successfully finished the interview process. A comprehensive response was given to most PMP questions, and no harmful occurrences were noted. Technical obstacles, in many cases, are solvable. No special training, nor any expensive equipment, was needed for conducting the interviews.

Listening presents significant challenges to English as a Foreign Language students, and how their metacognitive awareness affects their listening performance and the acquisition of listening subskills warrants further investigation. A study utilizing the Metacognitive Awareness Listening Questionnaire (MALQ) and a uniquely developed listening test yielded data from 567 Chinese EFL college students. The R package G-DINA was applied to determine the distinct patterns of listening subskill proficiency among students. This study sought to evaluate the influence of Latino Dance interventions on the general and academic self-efficacy of LBC students in rural areas. The research team hypothesized that these interventions would positively impact general self-efficacy, academic self-efficacy, and self-esteem, and a statistically significant positive correlation between these variables. Furthermore, this study also posited that self-esteem may mediate the relationship between general and academic self-efficacy, contributing to the positive correlation. Thirty-five left-behind children (160 boys and 145 girls) from six Hunan schools were the subject of a date collection study. LBCs underwent assessments using the Ralf Schwarzer General Self-Efficacy Scale, the Morgan-Jinks Student Academic Self-Efficacy Scale, and Rosenberg's Self-Esteem Scale, spanning the period from September 2020 to January 2022.

While language policies often strive to alter linguistic behaviors, measuring their consequences is notoriously difficult. This research scrutinizes the linguistic competence and application of the Sami language within Norway and Sweden, in relation to the governmental language policies adopted by both countries.
A cross-country examination of educational, linguistic, and budgetary policies in Sweden and Norway is offered. In a 2023 survey, new data is presented, based on 5416 Sami and non-Sami individuals in 20 northern municipalities, focusing on the use and competence in the Sami language, examining intergenerational variations and contextual differences. A small group of participants underwent a test to gauge their lexical proficiency in North Sami.
The Sami language's application has seen a noteworthy decline across the three generations that have passed. Only a fraction of Sami speakers are highly proficient in Sami, and they frequently use it with their children (approximately 4% in Sweden and 11% in Norway). Approximately one-fifth of adult Sami speakers employ a Sami language at least occasionally, and this linguistic use is most commonplace at home. A surprising dearth of Sami language understanding persists in the majority demographic.
The more favourable policies adopted in Norway are, at least in part, reflective of and possibly causative of its higher levels of language use and proficiency. Both countries must dedicate more resources to expand their speaker base, including the majority population.

In Tanzania, the LINEA Intervention, a multi-component social norms intervention, seeks to prevent age-disparate transactional sex. This paper examines the development process of the LINEA Intervention, employing the Six Essential Steps for Quality Intervention Development (6SQuID), a phased framework for public health interventions, to critically analyze the approach. The paper also aims to evaluate the framework's usefulness for creating interventions against gender-based violence. PP2 This paper contributes to the ongoing evolution of intervention development research, aiming to improve the design of interventions that can mitigate gender-based violence. The findings support the conclusion that the LINEA Intervention development approach was largely consistent with the outlined stages of the 6SQuID framework. Nevertheless, the development process of the LINEA Intervention heavily focused on two phases of the 6SQuID structure. Initially, the LINEA Intervention development process involved substantial investment in formative research, feasibility studies, and refinement; additionally, the LINEA Intervention drew upon a clearly defined behavioral change theory—social norms theory.
